Privacy policy

This policy explains what Kids Camp ATX collects during the beta, why we use it, and what happens when you follow a link to a camp or registration provider.

Effective June 21, 2026

1. Information we collect

Search information. Search terms, ZIP codes or location text, selected weeks, grade ranges, camp types, budget choices, and must-have filters may appear in the page URL and server request logs.

Provider inquiries. When someone requests listing information, we collect the camp name, work email address, open-week details, and any information submitted through the form.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and application systems may process IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and error or security logs.

The beta does not currently display account login or saved-camp features. If those features launch later, this policy will be updated before they are made available.

2. How we use information

We use information to return relevant camp results, sort by location, operate and secure the site, troubleshoot errors, understand whether search features work, respond to provider inquiries, correct listings, and improve camp data quality.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use search details to make decisions about a child's eligibility for a camp.

3. Cookies and browser storage

The site uses essential session and security cookies to maintain requests and protect forms. Search choices may remain in the URL so results can be refreshed or shared.

Earlier beta versions may have stored saved-camp choices in browser local storage. The saved-camp interface is currently hidden, but existing browser storage can remain on a device until it is cleared through browser settings.

4. When information is shared

We may share information with vendors that host, maintain, secure, or support the service, subject to appropriate service arrangements. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transfer.

Submitting a provider inquiry authorizes us to use the submitted contact information to respond about listings and data corrections.

5. Camp and registration websites

Camp detail pages link to provider websites, maps, phone numbers, and third-party registration services. Those services operate independently and may collect payment, account, child, health, or attendance information under their own privacy policies.

Kids Camp ATX does not receive payment details or registration form contents merely because you follow an outbound link.

6. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, and service operations. Retention periods vary by record type.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting sensitive information that a form does not request.

7. Children's privacy

Kids Camp ATX is designed for parents, guardians, and adult camp staff. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information. Do not send a child's medical, educational, or other sensitive personal information through a provider inquiry.

If you believe a child submitted personal information directly to Kids Camp ATX, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

8. Your choices

You can remove search parameters by starting a new search, clear cookies and local storage in browser settings, and choose not to submit a provider inquiry. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted directly to Kids Camp ATX, subject to legal and operational exceptions.

9. Privacy questions and requests

Use the camp inquiry form and identify the request as a privacy question. Please include enough information for us to locate the relevant submission, but do not include sensitive information in the initial message.

We may update this policy as the beta changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
